I live in a newly incorporated rural area. If I owned a gun I would've shot them both. I will be looking into remedying that problem! Thank you, Scott, appreciate it.

So sorry about your hens.

That other dog will probably be back, so keep an eye out. Even a pellet gun is better than nothing.

Good news on the horse front, Woody will be getting vetted and then head up July 10th or 11th. The TW has found another home with my other friends in TX, so that is great too. She is older than they thought, more like 20. Trying to rain here.

Sorry to hear of your loss @fivelittlehens.

Glad Woody is working out. And that the TW found a home. :)

My neighbor had a chow-chow that terrorized our chickens and rabbits when I was a kid 25 years ago. My dad warned the neighbor once, and said he would take care of the dog if it showed up again. It killed almost all the chickens and 50 rabbits. When it did come back, dad welcomed it with a 308.
The neighbor was really mad, but dad told him that noone has the right to let their dogs kill other people's pets. And that his dog made 2 little girls cry. So that was it for the chow-chow. Turns out that the rest of the neighborhood was having problems with it too. It bit a few kids up, but nobody wanted to deal with the monster. In the end, it's the owner's fault for allowing the dog to roam. I hope whoever owns the dogs that attacked your hens gets hung out to dry for destruction of property. You have my condolences.

Good to hear that Woody is working out, I like his looks ( I know you can't ride looks)

And Just what is wrong with an over 20 year old TWH mare? My Caddy is pushing 23 or so and still going strong, (it only takes 6 miles to slow her down now)

Busy couple of days at the cafe, and I've been busy at work.

Sorry to hear of chickens lost. I've got 5 broodies on eggs, the first (well, second because one has already hatched hers) is due today or tomorrow.

Up extra early today to send hubby south with a truckload of supplies for flood victims, so I'll start the coffee!
