odd thing, they get a fall break, similar to spring break? her and my niece came down for a visit........I didn't get to see them much, but thank, it was nice what time we did get.

My little piece of this world is doing as well as can be hoped for.
The local school system is closed for the rest of the week because of flooded and or damaged roads

Thats a lot of makeup days before winter even gets here.

Thanks for the coffee! My cat can have the stuff on the floor..... We had a wonderful rain last night so maybe we won't burn down before winter hits. Glad you guys are kinda starting to have less water flowing around your islands of high ground. It just seems to take forever for that to happen.
DS$ has a ride to Las Vegas for a national wrestling tournament and now I need to figure out the coaching for him. That is the major problem of the day to solve, (so far anyway.) It would have been nice to have a local tournament to start the season out but it isn't me and he is raring to go. I am not sure that he is ready but is isn't me (thank goodness for that) and attitude has a lot to do with being successful anyway as we know. He only placed in one experienced level last year but was undefeated in the Rookie ranks so I guess it is time for him to go jump in the deep end of the pool.... with the sharks!

Good to hear that you got enough rain, sorry that I couldn't send you a couple of inches or so of ours last weekend, it would not have been missed by anybody here.

Here are 3 of the boys, back from the ranch. Peanut is the palomino, JR is the gruela, or maybe now he's become a dark chestnut. I'm not sure, I think his coat has changed. Then there's Jazz, he's looking rather buckskin these days, but he started as a palomino. Peanut is uncle to the full brothers JR and Jazz.
