Great to hear from you!
It is a toasty big fat 0 F right now. All of the morning chores are done and now I am baking bread and making more hot coffee. We got about 6 inches of snow overnight and tonight is going to be the cold one cause now it is clear and sunny. Good thing I get to drive in it to wrestling practice......

COLD TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA WILL BE GETTING MUCH COLDER
OVERNIGHT. WIND CHILL READINGS WILL STAY BELOW ZERO ALL DAY
ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA THEN DROP TO 10 TO 20 BELOW ZERO OVER THE
PLAINS AND 20 TO 35 BELOW ZERO OVER THE MOUNTAINS TONIGHT.
Really can't wait......
However, the sheep are loving it!

@Mtn Margie I am so sorry you are so cold,I simply hate it as from previous moaning you will have gathered. The only consolation I can offer is that it must be simply wonderful having Christmas with snow and cooking all the goodies without sweating or should I glowing, no definitely sweating. Thank you for warm welcome.

I am having new windows put in the uPVC type because my windows don't fit and let heat and cold in. However the stupid, is too kind a word, for the original builder did not put lintels in and my builder said the roof would fall down - how it lasted all these years I will never know, probably the steel windows kept the roof up. Anyway mammoth task,but my bedroom is done and its heaven, even at 39 outside its cool -for once can't wait for the winter to see if they work.

As for coffee, well you all know we are backward here but bought my self a coffee machine in UK and a cream whipper here so can now make lovely coffee. Not quite mastered the fancy patterns on top but working on it. I mix cocoa powder with sugar and warm water, use a chicken syringe and play.

I am a tea person nothing like a warm cup of tea at 5.00 am before all the feeding goes on. I went to Namibia (magical place) and they sold the leaves the owner a she/he/she converting anyway she was lovely and made up an Assam with a hint of Earl Grey and something else I couldn't place. Wow it sets you off for the day.

Day has to start, can hear chooks wanting breakfast and if my fish could talk they also would be screaming for breakfast.

Sorry just had to tell you, think you may laugh

Had to buy a new car as hubbys had to be sold the for the estate winding up. Anyway its low and slinky well why not! trouble is I have trouble get out (bit low) so I park as far away from people at the malls.

Yesterday I got to my car with shopping and this huge SUV,truck god knows what it was. Parked so close I needed a can opener.

While putting shopping in, I saw a note on his windscreen "if you make love like you park, you will never get it in" I absolutely hosed my self.

Oh, did you find any tips for your soft egg layer? Have you tried giving her some crushed shells from the other eggs?

@WVduckchick Yes I looked at the egg laying site and am afraid to admit I think its generic, Lady (sick chook) is Henry's daughter's daughter ie incest and hasn't really been great from the beginning just look so pretty. So unfortunately am off to the vet for the deadly deed as she is rather sick and don't think there is much hope.

Good Morning Whoop and everybody else too,

It's our last nice morning for awhile, in the high 40's now.
That cold front will get to us today and Friday morning will be in the low 20's

I am so not ready for that yet, need to get the tank heaters installed or get ready to break ice.
Both coffee pots are ready, enjoy the day.

Coffee, extra hot! -6 Scott, you can have the cold. The lowest temp I saw driving home was -8 down in a valley. At that time it was 0 at our house, uphill.
It is supposed to warm up tonight so I just have to get all of my whining done today. Enjoy the day everyone!
