BYC Café

huh..... so is this played all over the US? Or only in certain regions?

Soooo. where were you when you learned to play it?
I learned to play in New York State, probably in Oneota but possibly Delmar (outside Albany) . It is hard to remember when exactly after all these years. Not sure what other states have it.

Do you mean to say you didn't play this (or even heard of it) in TX?

We played it here in Massachusetts in elementary school and middle school. And even a little bit in high school I think but maybe not. We didn't play that often though I don't think.

And freshman year of high school I got hit in the face playing handball LOL

I thought it was as common as tag or tether ball...wait, did you have those games?
we played tag... I had heard of tether ball....don't think I played it. :hu

I climbed trees and ran through construction sites and back alleys, playing "dodge the drunk that lives in a cardboard box".

In school we played kick ball, dodge ball, tag, red rover, hide and seek, jaxs (LOTS of jax), and marbels, LOTS of marbels.

There was also hopscotch, and jump rope.

My faves were jax and marbels and kickball.....and running through the neighborhood climbing on fence tops and roofs.
