I like mine. Nice size egg, with great predator senses and small comb. Always seem about half wild, hand reared or not.

Morning Margie! I didn't know you raised Icelandics, I always thought they were interesting. Those are on my 'wish list' for when we get our forever home.

Icelandics arn't available, otherwise they'd definitely be a contender!

I wasn't sure at first. I really didn't want a white egg layer, but the other qualities make up for it. They are pretty active and also do not cause chaos in the coop. They are very beautiful with a tuft that makes them look like punk rockers.

I like Buckeyes as well... They were on my list but not available when I was getting new genes to add to the Mountain Mutts.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee, Thing 1 woke last night feverish Just got one over teething, now this. Add to that DH came in to tell me the generator is not working. It is just used right now for the cattle, we have power to the house. But cattle need water, so DH is having a very bad day.
But the coffee is yummy, so we got that.
