BYC Café

I'm awake so it must be coffee time! Or tea if you prefer. Or hot chocolate.

Oh, and I made breakfast too...a gluten free breakfast!

Throw in some butter and MCT oil, froth it up and you have my daily breakfast! LOL.

I made cinnamon sugar doughnuts if anyone wants one to go with their coffee

The dog's ball chucker came, has an auto load feature so supposedly you don't have to tounch the ball.
21 degrees out there, feels like 12. Going to be really cold out there tomorrow. So looks like time for bag balm on combs for the Sussex.

Good morning everyone!

Tree - if my buckeyes start laying again I may be able to send you some fertilized eggs. Haven't seen my roo get busy yet, but he'll be a year old this spring so he should be performing.

That would be awesome, but I don't have an incubator. And I'm not sure if I'll have any broodies in the spring since they're all under a year old and haven't showed any setting signs yet.

I'm going to order from PP, but if I like the breed then I'll look into getting different strains in the future since I heard theirs aren't the best (but still good birds).

Ya, it's an inside day.
Chickens seem to be fine, even gave me three eggs today (which I got before they froze!

And it's been partially sunny today, so the living room is actually quite nice. The sun will warm up the coop too. I usually find the chickens standing by the window when the sun is shining in.

Will be like this tomorrow too, but we're dropping the little one off at a friends and going on a movie date! Last time we went on a date was July for my birthday dinner.

Me either. I'm hoping to get a chantecler and partridge chantecler flock going. Partridges are very broody, so I'm going to stick all breeds of birds under them.
Let me know when you want a different strain. Hopefully by then I'll be able to have chicks too.
