Hope everyone is doing well

-2 here today. Nice and sunny. A slight wind. No complaints from me!

Got sent home from work an hour early. Nothing to do we got a new boss last week that is all about prepping way ahead of time. That's all well and good, but right now we only have guests on the weekends.

BB2K's school has nominated her for Governor's School (a summer enrichment program for gifted students). Because she has applied through the Drama program, we had to take her to Raleigh yesterday to audition. The J.C. Raulston Arboretum is near the school where the auditions were held, and Critter and I hadn't had a chance to visit it in donkey's years. Since parents weren't allowed to be in the building where the auditions were held, we had thought to spend the wait over there, but as luck would have it, BB2K was one of the first to audition, so we all did the Arboretum visit afterward. Enter "whiny, bored teen, texting friends about awful parents," right? NOT!! She loved it! We wound up spending nearly two hours there, and every time I turned around, she was off somewhere else, taking a picture with her phone. *sigh* Whatever am I gonna do with with that girl (besides miss her like crazy?!)

We will find out the results in about a week.
