BYC Café

Thanks for the coffee NFC, I ran out of milk so I put some baileys in it. Not a problem!

It's a freezing rain morning, but I have it all to myself while the little one is out at swimming lessons with Dad. Will need to do some errands shortly (see no milk above), but loving the dreary peace and quite (as long as the wood stove is going :) )

@Bunnylady That's very exciting! Congrats to BB2K! I hope she gets in :) I went into an arts program for high school, nothing fancy but I did have to audition.

I've adjusted fairly well. I keep son's bedroom door closed and talk through it just like when he comes home for a visit. He doesn't answer then either - pretends he's asleep.
Then I usually say "I can hear the computer chair moving, you aren't asleep." No answer.

Mornin', y'all!:frow

BB2K's school has nominated her for Governor's School (a summer enrichment program for gifted students). Because she has applied through the Drama program, we had to take her to Raleigh yesterday to audition. The J.C. Raulston Arboretum is near the school where the auditions were held, and Critter and I hadn't had a chance to visit it in donkey's years. Since parents weren't allowed to be in the building where the auditions were held, we had thought to spend the wait over there, but as luck would have it, BB2K was one of the first to audition, so we all did the Arboretum visit afterward. Enter "whiny, bored teen, texting friends about awful parents," right? NOT!! She loved it! We wound up spending nearly two hours there, and every time I turned around, she was off somewhere else, taking a picture with her phone. *sigh* Whatever am I gonna do with with that girl (besides miss her like crazy?!)

We will find out the results in about a week.
Sounds like a great Day!

I hope she gets into the progaram

That sounds like a wonderful opportunity for your DD Bunny, I wish her all the luck! Glad you had a good time at the arboretum (all of you).

Be careful driving through the freezing rain, that stuff can be tricky. I need to get to the store today too, been putting it off for days now.

When is your busy season Michelle?

Hope the shorter hours aren't a big problem (even though it's no fun to stick around when there isn't much to do).
The camps start in May and run through the summer. The number of bookings until then are gradually starting to pick up.
