Scott, I'm so sorry. When we lose an animal friend, it's hard.

I don't usually post on this thread, but I wanted to say that I'm really sorry you lost your mare, Scott.

Quick rain here today and cool. We have one of the Quonsets set up and should get the other one tomorrow and then fence and then.... time to get ready for Winter. I snipped back the tomatoes and squash and I need to do one last weed whacking around the house now that the flowers are coming to an end. Some of the Aspens are starting to turn and pretty soon, the "Leaf Gawkers" will anoint us with their presence.
Not much else going on.....

So Sorry.
Please give your wife my condolences as well. It stuns us and bewilders us when things like this happen so suddenly.
I am very sorry.

Thanks Much Guys !
It does help. DW bought this Mare 19 years 5months and 1 week ago as a 3 year old (they lied, we knew it) well trained horse.
I'm still surprised just how big of a hole is missing in my daily routine without that mare to look after. We had 5 full sized horses, 1 young Paso filly, 1 mini and , 1 1/2 sized snot head that I can't think of his breed at this moment. To say nothing of the couple hundred birds of several breeds in several (toooooo many) pens to tend to. Every time I turn around I run into a Priss this or that moment and she wasn't my horse.

I don't want to even think about my Caddy.
Thanks again!!

I do thank you guys for you well wishes and good thoughts.
She will now not be feeling any pain anymore.

Oh Scott, I'm so sorry... I had a long weekend hatching chicks, so I'm just now catching up. I'm sure you gave Priss a good life, and she loved you and the DW as much as you loved her.
