BYC Café

Zipper - lol.

Krista, interesting about snakes and that you cannot kill them down there. I learn something new every day. What's the reasoning behind that, I wonder? My SO gets migraines too. Not fun. He sees those auras beforehand which is always a little scary to me but he actually likes that because then he can prepare for one coming on. I also hope his interview went well!

We're set to get about 6 inches of snow and everyone here is freaking out again because we really haven't had any lately, just cold. Of course it's on a Tuesday, our busy day where each of the kids has an activity after school (son has two). Oh well. We just allow extra driving time.

I spent most of the weekend baking - aebleskivers, bread, cornbread muffins, chili. But it's fun. My daughter has a presentation on Denmark so I pulled out my aebleskiver pan (being Danish, everyone is issued one at birth ;) and went to town. We managed to save 2 for her to take to school - the rest were inhaled!

Have a safe and productive week everybody! - and yes, I'm ready to start work with my coffee by my side. :)

Ahhh, Coffee! Sent my kiddo out the door with the classic,"Love you! Watch out for the moose." line that everyone uses I am sure.
They are in here thick as flies lately and some poor woman up in Steamboat was stomped by one walking her dogs, actually she tried to intervene and it didn't go well. Moose generally do not like dogs and that is what sets them off, not the people - FYI
Krista, that is strange that you can't take out a snake if it is in your coop, and I'm sorry, but to relocate a highly poisonous, highly aggressive snake is not on my list of things to do. I guess the threat from rats and other invasive creatures is more of an issue than a few people getting freaked out or bit and such, but still, I'm with you and I'm not a snake phobe.
Enjoy the day you all. There is yet another storm coming in here as well, so I had better get my chores done, coffee on the run style.

How's everyone's weather been? It's 17 degrees and sunny out here,

Welcome! Here (MN) it's 21 - wow..that's warm here too. It's been really cold here too so this is strange. NOT COMPLAINING!! But tomorrow, more snow. boo.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say I haven't abandoned you all. Been real busy, but that hasn't seemed to stop any of y'all!

Don't mind us! We'll just carry on, and scootch over when you get here!

Loved the pants and zipper comment too. Hubby asked me once who wears the pants in our family, and said "I do. I'm Batman." He then asked who he was and I replied "Batgirl!" It is now a running joke between us.

Hmmm, what can I say. What happens in the country, stays in the country!

Hello everyone!
Mind if I join?

A big welcome to you @Chickenchick11. Here in Australia we are expecting 88F today. I'm going to need my jumper! (FYI - It's Summer here at the moment, and we have had many consecutive days over 100F+!)

Off to work for me today, sigh. I work in the office one day a week and then from home as I can, farm commitments permitting. Really not looking forward to the drive but it gives me time to ponder my thoughts.

I might stop at Macca's for breakfast on the way - all of a sudden the day looks brighter! Their coffee is not as good as the one you get at our BYC Café of course, but it's coffee none-the-less!

Have a great day all!

- Krista
