Sounds like a plan. :thumbsup

I'll get them in the mail ASAP :gig

Surprise, I use the canned. No time or place to garden around here.

That makes me feel better then!! I've never grown pumpkins until this year so it's a bit of a new venture. But not sure I'll do it again, they took over the backyard and nearly grew to the deck!! If I grow them again, I'm considering a new location

I bought three large cans of pumpkin at Costco as my plant did not do more than flower might be the jerks burning brush behind us sprayed for blackberry and killed the bees

I should buy some at BJs! Probably better and cheaper than these. And aw that stinks. Mine were thriving but then mostly died off from a 2 week drought and I wasn't really watering cause they had been thriving without much or any. Big mistake. Tried to save them but too late. Now they have been growing back and flowering again but likely too late to produce any in October.

Would have been a pretty picture if I hadn't ruined it with the fork holes and also can't get the color right but oh well, still tastes the same I'm sure.

LOL can never start practicing too early! :D

Though tbh the good organic pumpkin and pumpkin pie mix cans were on sale at Market Basket one day so I got them and the canned milk. In a way though, I am practicing making it so it's easier when I use my own pumpkins :D

Idk when to start preparing those though. Want to leave them as decoration for a little longer but also don't want them to go bad. But Thanksgiving is still a ways away. I guess I could make the puree soon and freeze it?? Then make an awesome fresh pie for Thanksgiving. :D

A trick I learned is freeze in chunks, defrost and drain well. I only use fresh pumpkin for pies and buy ours as soon as they're available.
