Looking forward to reading it! Seems to me, in general, King's books don't translate to film very well. The Shining is one of my favorite stories and I thought they murdered it with Nicholson and Shelley Duvall. She was so annoying I wanted to off her myself

Carrie was done pretty well in the movie version. Sissy Spacek was remarkable!

I agree! Nicholson was good at being crazy but Shelley Duvall was never anyone I cared for in the acting department. She was a perfect Olive Oyl but that's about it.

Hearts in Atlantis and The Green Mile translate to the big screen pretty well. Cujo! Oh my goodness, I was terrified even though I knew the story.

We had a St.Bernard when Cujo came out. My mother would not watch the movie.

I loved the Popeye movie, Robin Williams was perfect in his part! Such an odd, funny movie.

That was such a sad story, I could only read the book and watch the movie once.

Yeah, it was hard for me to watch, too...Bear was such a big loveable Bernard, couldn't imagine that happening to him. :hmm

I LOVE "The Green Mile," so much I bought the dvd, it has extended material. I felt terrible for John Coffey. Sad to say the actor passed away a few years ago.

I hated Percy. I know they are just actors but the guy that played Percy, I think I would hate in any movie.

PS No matter how often I get it straightened out, I can never remember if John was Michael Duncan Clarke, or Michael Clarke Duncan. :he
