Morning Cafe

Bright sunshiny day here, suppose to be in the 80's again today, yesterday got up to 83°F. That's suppose to change tomorrow, going to be in the 60's. :barnieweather! :he

@DobieLover , hope the hubs is feeling better today and not as careless! :D

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate

Ron my grandma had a lifelong connection to prunes, I think that's why the rest of us ignored them until the time we needed some. ;)
I grew up in a house that was in and orchard. We had a lot of Prunes growing up!

I am going to bake a Prune cake tonight

Making cookies and my spaghetti sauce didn't go as planned. Guess I just cannot do two things at once - like breathing and anything else. Ground beef burned to the pan (not the first time) so that was out. Figured I'd just eat cookies.

Cookies came out okay except that they were roll up dough. I always had them chill overnight on the bottom shelf of refrigerator - first time they ever froze solid. Guess we had a different fridge when I last made them. :rant However nothing else has ever frozen on that shelf before. :idunno Took quite awhile for them to thaw enough to slice them.

Didn't have any left over semi sweet morsels to drizzle over finished cookies, because I made a double recipe . So made a bad difference. Plus I guess we always made them with margarine since my mother long ago, decided butter would kill us. Mom passed away in '96 so we all went back to butter.

Stores out here are not selling Kerry Gold unsalted, so I had to buy store brand :sick.Think the cookies were jinxed from the start. Have 4 more long rolls in the refrigerator while I decide if I want to bake them or toss them out.

Have some Breakstone sour cream left over - think I'll have them on bananas later. Used to do that as a kid. Long range memory is still holding up.

I'm okay, I had one pint of ice cream and almost feel as good as new - HA :gig
I never use unsalted butter. If the recipe calls for unsalted, I use salted and cut the salt in the recipe a bit

I wasn't going to mention the Vetericyn I sprayed on him. I was going to break out the pine tar but I think I can resist pecking at it!
casportpony got on me about vetericyn--said it was simply a peroxide solution and should use that instead. She may have a very good point!

The Texas legislature is trying to pass a bill to not to change to Daylight Savings Time! :ya:ya hope they 'get' it right and passed.
We passed an advisory to end daylights savings time here las Fall. Since it was an advisory, the Legislature may not enact it...which makes me sad...

Well, yes and no.
Yes in that they are both oxidizers. The vetericyn is a very weak (0.010%) solution of hypochlorous acid (HClO), which is an oxidizer. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is usually sold in 3 or 10% solutions and is a stronger oxidizer.
No in that Vetericyn is a much milder oxidizer and will not attack healthy tissue the way H2O2 can.
