Welcome to my world. Hubby is not fond of chickens and hates listening to crowing at 4 am.

I'd rather he DIDN'T help with the chickens. I like that he enjoys them and spends time with them but because of the AD he makes too many mistakes. Like leaving the door from the brooder room to the coop open last night. Thank goodness it wasn't the main coop door! I slid halfway across the brooder room floor is a nice juicy pile of dookie that one of the hens left for me. I was certainly surprised to be greeted by the flock inside the brooder room when I went out to feed them at 6:00!

He tries! He can still hang, take down and fold laundry, loves to stack wood (thankfully that particular chore appears to over for the season), he takes care of potty patrol with the dogs, feeds the bottomless pit (aka - the cat) throughout the day, enjoys making the bed which I really like and he is still Chief Bottle Washer and I'm Chief Cook (and very thorough kitchen messer upper!).
I try to give him one task a day to do while I'm at work. Sometimes he remembers to do it and does it well. Sometimes not so much so. It's hard for him because he was so handy and we loved working on projects together. Now I'm on my own with all the building and most of the animal caretaking. Not to mention now taking care of him... and a lot for Mom now that Dad's gone.
