Very frustrating! I had to get DH to a neurologist out of the area that specializes just in AD and other dementias. His Dr. then started his clinic where he only conducts clinical trials to try to find a cure. Maybe you could find someone like that in your area?
DH already meets all the inclusionary and exclusionary requirements for the trial and they just started recruiting. I'm pretty certain he'll be accepted. But none of the siblings bother to talk to me. They only talk to DH and he doesn't know what the hell is going on because of the disease. He tells them things that are inaccurate or so incomplete that you don't have the whole story. They don't seem to realize this. If anyone wants to know what is going on with him, they have to talk to me but they don't. There really isn't anything I can do about that.
We live very remote , any good sized city is at least an hour away. But I hope to find something.
We drive 1.5 hours down to the Wilkes-Barre area for his treatment. It's worth it.
I think my Grandmother lived there . House burned down since then.
