BYC Café

DH may have to work hard, at keeping me awake that is. :p This time of year, things really slow down at the course. I was there for 5+ hours yesterday and only had 3 golfers to take care of. Makes for a long day.

Ugh, those are long days. You need a good book!

By the way @Shadrach we go to the post office for our mail no delivery on Sunday here

They don’t deliver Sunday here either afaik but we usually just wait and they’ll deliver it all the next day. We don’t get anything important anyway. :lau

@KDOGG331 well done on the repartee with our mountain man aka @Shadrach. Well Done!

Back from the fields. It was a good day they ran a combined male class of 16. Second series found War Treaty back high and War of Will back second. Good second series run with Will showing a bit of his inexperience. When it was over and done with Treaty won and finished the requirements for his championship and Will got a fourth place.

I sure needed a pot (of coffee) :p so brewed a fresh one - have at it, you too Penny. :lau

Mel has seen something in the woods to her right. Ruffles in the distance hasn't seen it.
A moment later the chicks were under cover and Mel was stood in the same place ready to fight.

That little yellowish fuss ball isn't going to make it if it doesn't wise up. It constantly wanders away from Mel. It was the first to hatch and despite my efforts seems to have imprinted me as parent. It's getting better but............

Supper/treat time. I took a chance and decided to feed the supper treats to everyone from Tribe 1 in the same place. Ruffles and her chick avoided any possible trouble by heading for the normal feed in the house. When Cillin had chased Treacle away she came out with her chick.
I was expecting Fat Bird to have something to see about the chicks eating so close to her. She's been very good about the chicks, but then I think she knows that despite being the senior hen, if she upsets the chicks enough, Mel will go for her. The others keep a good distance away from Mel and her chicks. The teats were scattered on the ground; chopped peanuts, cous cous, chopped pasta, chopped tomato, and white fish.
It all went surprisingly peaceably.

Cillin leading the tribe off to roost making sure Treacle is where he can keep an eye on him. Ruffles is still in the maternity unit in the RH bottom corner.

Thank you Sour! I appreciate that. :D

Glad the trial went well!!

Good afternoon cafe :)

For those of you with dogs/cats etc I have to tell you, Chewy is pretty awesome.

The kibble we feed our dogs is hard to find locally. The place we used to buy the food from has gone down hill so we don't go there and have resorted to Chewy a while ago rather than find a different food. This particular brand has never had a recall.

The bag we just got wasn't sealed, likely from the factory, so we called customer service. Before my huband was done on the phone he had an email confirmation that a new bag will be delivered free of charge.

We don't buy anything other than our dog food there, but we've had a pretty good experience so far.

This is the first thing I've made that didn't. That's why I'm assuming it was the pineapple.
It likely was the pineapple. Fruit often goes mushy in the freezer
