Meg I'm like you. If it weren't for ice cream I would starve. Don't like to mess up the kitchen (it's bad enough now) without the cooking for just one person.

Sprained my wrist so have a brace on it. Must have been from scratching my head. Duh!
Oh no! Sorry about your wrist, DD. Stay away from those head scratchers :p My husband is a ice cream fanatic, too. Plain vanilla and no toppings.

Good morning, Café, and thanks, Shad.

For me carbohydrate reduction really helps in weight control - also helps lower inflammation.

I need to work on this. I was doing well for a while, couple weeks ago I was doing all that cooking, but then fur last couple weeks especially the last week I’ve been eating horribly haha of course with the wedding and family here and everything, that’s part of it, but still, even before that I reverted back to PB&J (both sandwiches and toast with it on it) for meals :hide

I didn’t even really notice the inflammation thing much (well, a little) but I also noticed my anxiety and depression skyrocketed from all the sugar/carbs/crap food along with the migraines and general feeling like crap so I want to cut back or cut out completely for that reason alone.

Here's some pics of what they look like....and yes they will absolutely cover an entire pasture or yard.

Pretty! Bet that smells nice too.

Oh, Meg, you make me so sad. Last week we had morning temps around 50 F - today at 2 PM my truck thermometer said it was 99 F. :he I'm not a fan of winter, but really dislike excessive heat.
Me too!

Summer has been dragging on here-- back up to 100 today again and a red flag day for fire danger. PGE turned off power to three counties yesterday. The power will be off for up to 48 hours

EEE is really bad here this year; 3 people have died already and I think it’s 10 total including them that have been sick/diagnosed. The third one just died. It is awful. We have West Nile here too but EEE is way worse. We have Lyme from the damn ticks too.
We now have Yellow Fever Mosquitoes in California. These feed primarily on humans and during the day. They can carry Zika, dengue fever along with yellow fever. I though they were only in Southern CA but they have been found across the river from me in Sacramento. So far they are testing negative for illnesses

:fl

That sounds scary!!! We have the bad ones right by us. They found them in the next town over but we’re right on the line (only like 1-2 miles depending what direction you go) so they’re basically here too. And our area is very wooded so lots of bugs. I’ve been going around dumping all buckets/saucers and places for standing water but we have a little pond in the front garden. We really should drain it, it’s nasty and filled with debris anyway so I want to empty it, clean it, and start maintaining it, BUT there are no less than 3 frogs in it and tons of tadpoles in there I just discovered last week and they seem to love the leaf litter/natural vibe and I would hate to evict the frogs or kill all the tadpoles! So I don’t really know what to do. I’m sure the mosquitoes use it but so do the frogs so idk. Maybe I’ll just wear bug spray and wait till the frogs move on to drain it.

Scary stuff.

X2!!!

Why did they turn off the power, Ron?

Why did they turn off the power, Ron?
After convicted Felon, PG&E caused the fire last November that destroyed the town of Paradise and killed 85 people, The Utility decided to cut power in places and on days that had high fire danger.

Of course proper maintenance of the power lines would solve the problem....
