2.5 yrs ago and today. Still have a lot left to do, but it's getting there! Can't wait till it's done and the chickens are moved into the new coop. Front fence is the next big "to do". But lots of little things, as well.

That's an amazing difference Meg! Looking great :thumbsup

That's very nice Meg!

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Blue skies and sunshine here atm but a large bank of clouds is heading this way.
Bristol University has accepted my paper on broody strategy.:celebrate
This should make a grant much more likely.

Congratulations Shad!

Good morning everyone :)

That's a serious looking project Meg. How many chickens will you keep in there?
The new coop is to replace a much smaller coop that has between 12-14 chickens, depending on if someone decides to sleep in the barn. This one is approx. 100 sq. ft., so I'd like to transition some of the biddies out of the barn and into the coop. They really aren't safe in there...

The coop on the left is about 170? sq. ft. and has 40 chickens in it.
That looks great, Meg. It's huge! How many chickens do your have?
Thanks, DL! I think the overhang of the roof makes it look bigger than it really is, but it's definitely good sized! I have about 80 grown ups, 2 each 5 month old pullets and cockerels, 8 that haven't reached POL but are close (3 months?), and 28 babies from the end of August. No more room at the inn :p
