Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Blue skies and sunshine here atm but a large bank of clouds is heading this way.
Bristol University has accepted my paper on broody strategy.
This should make a grant much more likely.

Very exciting!

Meg, what a great job on the new coop. Don't know how you work around the weather you have but......you sure do it well.

Thank you very much, DD! Luckily we only had last weekends snow storm to get around, but the cold has stopped me from getting roosts up and chickens moved. Only about 2hrs of daylight after I get off work is a bummer, as well. So it WILL be done this weekend

Thanks for the coffee.
It rained all day yesterday so no work was done on the walkway. But I did paint the two long coop windows so hoping to finish them up and install them before the sub-freezing temps arrive tonight.

Good morning everyone

Thank you, Debby! Winter will be much less work. I used to shovel the run out every time it snowed. You know how much snow we get

A neighbor down the road has exotic birds in a huge building less than a mile from us. Well, there are four buildings total. After work yesterday, my husband and I went down to check out the damage caused by an eerily aggressive bear. He didn't get to the birds, but he gave it a good shot! Him and our youngest set up game cameras, so we'll see what the beast is! Way to close for comfort.
