We are buying land at some point next year and I cannot wait! My husband wants to get goats when we buy the land so that they can clear it for us then we will do the trees.Good afternoon Cafe.
Below are picture of what the project land is like.
As Pau pointed out, you could stock that with 100 chickens and never see them again.

We found 11 of these trees. The Catalan name for them is Arboc with an accent over the c. I call them strawberry trees. The fruit is edible and chicken will eat it. View attachment 1969162

We got 12 pines down this morning roots as well. The technique is to cut them high and loosen one side of the soil around the tree and pull them down with a tractor.
Good luck with that.We are buying land at some point next year and I cannot wait! My husband wants to get goats when we buy the land so that they can clear it for us then we will do the trees.
We have a friend who has a bush hog and stuff. We know tons of people that will clear it for us.Good luck with that. We've had goats here and they would much rather eat the vegetable garden, potted plants, laundry hanging on the line, in fact anything rather than go into the big bad woods.
Hire a brush cutting team and get the job done this decade.![]()
The plan is to clear 2 acres of trees, leaving the shrubs etc for cover. The rest of the ground work is making paths through some of the most impenetrable sections, taking out some of the dead wood and getting the infected pines out.We have a friend who has a bush hog and stuff. Sounds like fun! My chickens and ducks would love to be in that all day. I don't think my dogs would mind either. The plan is to clear 2 acres of trees, leaving the shrubs etc for cover. You can't get a machine in most of the areas. A tractor just about manages some of the paths.
