@room onthebroom "What's a Hungarian cookie like?" Good - :drool

8 oz cream cheese
8 oz butter
2 egg yolks
3 cups flour
Refrigerate overnight
Knead dough to soften and roll portions out thin
Cut in rectangles
Fill with jam/jelly
fold dough over on itself -sort of wrapping it

Bake at 375 F for 10 - 15 minutes Lightly coat with powdered sugar

Handling the dough is the big problem as it gets sticky as it warms up. The Princess kneads, rolls, cuts, and I add the jelly, fold dough over, and run the oven. These are my favorite of favorites. It's my MIL's recipe.
:weeI found it, I found it :wee:celebrate

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is on the stove.
Mainly sunny and bright here.
More dog problems this morning. I found a dog outside the sheep shed this morning when I went to open up. Not sure what type of dog.
I let the sheep out of the back door and got the dog into the shed through the front door.
The Park Wardens came and got it. They were here very quickly.

These dog incidents have made working at the project impossible. Someone has to be here.
There is a household meeting this weekend which is likely to not go well.
I don't seem to be able to explain to the owners here that just letting everything out in the morning and hoping something is left alive when they get back from whatever it is they do all day is not an option.
One of the main house members should have been here this morning but apparently there is a Christmas party they just had to go to in Girona.
I got left a note.:hmm
We had agreed that a person would be here in the mornings during the week which would allow me to work on the project. It isn't working out.
I am sick and tired of these 'Oh lets play at homesteading types'. It is not something one can do for a few hours at the weekend when one can't find anything better to do.
