BYC Café

Hi Guys, ladies DO NOT fart. They "release endorphins,". Got that straight? Good.

Well we had a low of 1 degree, so hoping we do better during the afternoon.

Thinking Brussels sprouts for breakfast Might fuel the personal space heater.

Give the Fire Department something to do to stay warm too.

I love the smell of fresh baked bread in the house! And cake... and brownies.... and coffee..... and cookies....

Speaking of cookies.... anyone heard from Miss Wiggles? I guess the new house must be keeping her busy. She hasn't dropped off any cookies lately....

Fresh bread ahhh, warm fresh bread, the smell alone is just enough to make me hungry

Good morning all! Been a chatty morning too, I had a lot of entertaining reading today!

Enjoy the coffee! I won't talk about our temps, not low enough to cry about compared with others. I will say, Washingtonians are the biggest complainers about weather!!! If it's not rain it's too cold or too hot...lol.

My new chicken integration is NOT going well.

This lovely Araucana girl that I have added is a real spit fire. As soon as any of my chickens come near her, her hackles are up and she's in attack mode. It's not settling down as I thought it would!

I don't really know what to do about it. Just let them peck it out and find their new order? She is very aggressive with them, very sweet, shy and calm with me. I have now gotten her to eat out of my hand. I HATE, HATE, HATE, to see chickens fighting!

I hate that too! Is she a different breed or much different looking than the others? If you are bringing her in alone, she's just making her stand to let them know they can't gang up on her. Hopefully they will work it out amicably.
