I worked on our greenhouse this week end too.

got half of the floor, covered in triple layers of weed fabric, and got tires set to hold the dirt. this next weekend coming up, think i will get the rest of the floor done, fill the tires with dirt and plant something.

I do not have a true green house yet, want one. I just use my kitchen window and cover my counter with plants :) I would love an actual greenhouse.

I built mine out of 1" pvc pipe, similar to Blooie's hoop coop/run. framed the ends to give it some rigidity, and a door.

fairly inexpensive build. I cheated a little , and used some framing lumber and tin on the bottom, but didn't have to.

What type of fabric or covering did you use?

I have had 3 prefab green houses and the sun in Texas has eaten them all

I ordered the plastic sheeting from an online store...

let me see if I can find which one.

eta: greenhouse megastore.

the prefabs, probably have some super cheap stuff.

I also used the corrugated clear plastic for the ends.

OFW,
The summer sun in Texas tends to oxidize things it is very rough on plastics and vinyls
DD dog ate the shed that held up to the heat and the back of the carport

I see, I figured it was either the weather or you had a large dog. I keep looking at the greenhouses in the stores. It would be great, but a hoop that went over the garden and could be taken down, might make more sense for me.

This is the big one I got.

It was super cool for about 6 months. I even built a cool compost / tool storage area in back to add extra heat for winter.
When it started coming apart I bought a cheap one to put up inside it for the winter but lost that one this year to the wind.
