Evening Cap!

Whiskey! that should get you sleeping ;-) . I spend the day in the garden, the rain finally stopped. I was able to get one of the new raised bed built and filled, one down one more to go. I already have cauliflower, spinach, brussel sprouts and several herbs going in my other beds and several containers with potatoes coming along. Having a bigger garden will keep me out of grocery stores and I don't have to worry about anyone sneezing on my veg.

We also complete cleaned out that run today. Regardless of being up on pavers, we had so much rain, the water just percolated up through seams and the mulch was just one be muddy mess. We removed everything and put in a ton of pine shavings. The girls are so happy with their fluffy new playground. I'm happy with the healthier environment.

Hi Susan, sounds like you got a lot done! Good work.

Meant to share this one, as well. Cheap shot and his lady came up for a drink out of the dog waterer, but the dogs and I were in the space. The other hens ventured back down the barn and those two stood around in the gravel for a minute. I unplugged the bowl and took it out to them:

Later, Chickie ran after a kitty, slipped through the bowl and was soaking wet. No injuries :clap

Funny thing, neighbors that never had much to do with me put a note on my door that if I needed anything they would be glad to go get it for me. :idunno Now I don't check my mailbox till it's dark out. I'm afraid they'll see me and act friendly. They live across the street.

Maybe they decided I am beyond old and and need company. The neighbor on other side of me brought his dog to visit last week. I really love Bella but, she was totally "out of it," didn't seem to know me or ??? He said she had chemo for a tumor on one back leg $ 3,000 at vet.
She just wasn't acting like herself. She just turned 8, hope she is not headed down hill. :fl

It could be worse. Your neighbors could just ignore you and not try to look out for others.
