BYC Café

I know about those places though if I were ever to visit my cousin in Redding it sure wouldn't be in the summer! Been to DV once, Truckee as well but now we're talking about 50 years ago. Of course all of them are WAY far from Catalonia!
Spain and California have mediterranean climates so are very similar for weather

Hmm, not all that high, guess I just make assumptions about it being warmer in Catalonia. Or maybe I'm thinking about the areas near the coast where the sea moderates the temperature. Are you far from the coast?

And why are you still up!?!?!
About half an hours drive from the sea.
I'm still up because I've been chatting to my best friend in the UK. She's my age and lives on her own. The council are trying to evict her from her home; she's a tenant, and move her into a block of flats. She's very upset and finding the confinement due to the virus difficult to cope with.

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is on the stove. Kettle and tea on the side.
Just above freezing here overnight so a frosty start this morning.
Lockdown extended here to April 11. Politicians from Spain and the Catalonian region falling out again. This which flag do you bow to crap is getting on my nerves big time.
First very local virus case here. I'm expecting quite a few more given many commute to Barcelona from here.
Usual hysterical shite in the media. Some of the most emotive reporting I've read here recently. As has often been pointed out by some of the seniors here, if you switch the Internet off and don't buy newspapers one wouldn't know there was a problem.
Hopefully someone will be up to collect the hard boiled eggs later today. Over 100 in this first batch. Many Moroccan families here are not entitled to any state assistance and eran by the day.
I'll say this much for the virus; it's showing the worst of the politicians and media and in most cases here at least, the best in people.
