I do recall traps use to be awful claw things I do believe those are outlawed most places now

Part of the problem is she is moulting. This drains them and makes them look sickly anyway.

Best to keep this wound open then so the gunk will not fester.

I don't close wounds like this unless it's with stitches. I clean the wounds twice a day. I can't recall exactly how many Goshawk wounds I've dealt with over the years. If she doesn't look like she's getting better then she'll be going to the vet.

He is right there a wound that looks clean leave it open to let it heal .. Often that is the best route add neosporin but otherwise let them breathe

Found the lumber I wanted for my vent baffle project!
2 lengths of 1x4 purlins bolstering the auxiliary run roof where I can't keep it cleared of snow. Replaced them with some aluminum channels salvaged from an old ruined hot spa cover.
15 mins of some wire twisting and done!
Love the re-purpose finding of materials needed without leaving the 'stead.

Wish I had thought of this *before* the all day rain today,
it'll take days for wood to dry out.

In the beggining the guys ondered how I just kept all scraps now years later

Well, 5 hours and a string of curse words later, my dishwasher does not leak! Thank G for youtube. Back in business for a bit, anyway. Should give me time to get the parts I need and maybe more. Who knows? On the plus side, I really know how to take a dishwasher apart now.

So this is the 7 I bought home two marans rest barnyard mix
