Good evening Cafe.
I've brought tea; the proper strong stuff.
I've been unusually busy and can't keep up with my usual threads.
It's almost 10pm here and I started at 6am and I've only just got in for long enough to post.
Needless to mention I'm starving, so it's supper and bed!

Good morning Café. Coffee is ready.
I still can't get off the hill. The county hasn't touched any of the side roads. My neighbors had to stay in a hotel yesterday because they couldn't get home.

Wet and windy again here, but not cold. Snow looks pretty, but can be a real PITA.

I still can't get off the hill. The county hasn't touched any of the side roads. My neighbours had to stay in a hotel yesterday because they couldn't get home.

Same happened here years ago with the heavy snowfalls and strong winds piling up snowbanks so high that people were unable to use the roads. And when finally after more than a week the county started to clear the main roads, they ended up shoving the snow from the main road into the smaller roads at the junctions/intersections and made it even worse for us to reach the main road.


Finally the sun has come out and I can see some blue sky too among the clouds!

A man was stuck in his car under a 4' pile of snow when he ran his car off the road and the plow went by and buried him yesterday. He kept calling 911 trying to get help. He was in the car for 10 hours before a State Trooper finally found him and dug him out. The man is in the hospital now recovering from hypothermia and frost bite.

I imagine it wall take days to get everything cleared.
Hopefully you have everything you need there and can semi-enjoy being 'snowed in'.

Have to go into the 'big city' today, luckily no weather issues, in fact it's supposed to be sunny.
I could sorely use some sun and a change of scenery.

Morning and thanks for the coffee. Enjoy a snow-day, DL! We are supposed to get less than an inch and then the winds kick back up. It is a maybe go to town today for us as well, not sure yet if that is happening. Chores first. Be safe out there!
