A man was stuck in his car under a 4' pile of snow when he ran his car off the road and the plow went by and buried him yesterday. He kept calling 911 trying to get help. He was in the car for 10 hours before a State Trooper finally found him and dug him out. The man is in the hospital now recovering from hypothermia and frost bite.

Scary stuff!

I caved. There is a reason the Princess is also nicknamed 'The Bulldog'. Today we added Maggie Mae to our household. She is an eight week old mutt (they call them golden doodles), and she is a gorgeous little sweetheart.

My day was pretty good, not quite get a new puppy good,
but sunny road trip for fresh bag(7 days old) of feed good....
...oh and an English Muffin Buffet(4 kinds) gift.

7 fire trucks of one variety or another are visible. I don't know what is going on. We live on a dead end road with only 3 houses past ours.

Our house and neighbors across the road and next door all have trucks parked in our driveways.

Okay, strike the comment about 3 houses past ours. I just texted the neighbor and he replied that the next house up on the right burned to the ground. No one was injured thankfully.
Our houses were about the same size. We burn about 2 cords a year. They burned 8-10 (we get wood from the same supplier). The house was always unkempt looking from the exterior. I wonder if they were burning really hot fires in a creosote coated chimney.

Looks like a scene from a Sci Fi film.
