Did you find out how the fire started next door?

I walked up to look at it. When the neighbor said it burned to the ground, I should have suspected exaggeration.
It was definitely a chimney fire. The roof around the chimney has been burned away. The house is a total loss mostly because of the smoke damage in the rest of the house and the low value of the house because of the neglect.
The other structures on the property are unaffected. There is a very large three car detached garage, a large shed and a chicken coop used for storage that are all unaffected. They could have the old house demolished and possible a new, much more efficient modular put on the foundation if it's still sound.

I had thought I'd flip it if it ever became available. But not now. I'd just restart the fire and do the property a big favor.
