Actually saw the mouse,
been hearing it for a day or so,
on the kitchen counter this morning.
Cheeky bugger, with huge eyes.
Refreshed the trap baits and, an hour or so later, just heard SNAP!!

Didn't get as cold as forecast last night, but temps still falling.
Hope it locks up all the slushy, including the piles of plow wash, enough to get out of the driveway. Am feeling a bit cabin feverish.

Yes, that is why drakes are very dangerous to chickens or rabbits that are housed with them. They go wild never minding what or who they breed and rip their unsuspecting victim's vents and intestines.

This morning.

Three of my favorite shrubs/trees had several limbs snapped off. We were expecting 1-3". I'm going to go visit the local weather station, baseball bat in hand, and have a little conversation. I want to see their diplomas and their college transcripts to find out what their grades were.

Dad's house had several mice in it too. We've been trapping them. We had one trap that was licked clean of the peanut butter. We smooshed a piece of bread on top of the PB. Snap!

I never really count on the weather guessers.
Was glad they were wrong about the ice storm.

I've found jamming a seed(BOSS or corn) into the metal trigger upped my catch rate by about 500%. Also drop another seed or two near the trigger(what I did this morning.
Hate using pnutbutter, greasy mess.

Hit the sweet spot in temps to clear the driveway!
Juuuust cold enough to lock slush for throwing...and ground wasn't tooo soft.

Sunny, near 40 today, a slight breeze but tomorrow they say cold, wind (50mph) and half-inch of snow. Not enough snow to worry about, even if it is windy in their minds.
