BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready. A bit early, yes.
That is what happens when you wake up in dog pee.
Fuji is going incontinent. I'm ordering dog diapers and calling the vet for an appointment.
I just can't have her ruining the mattress.
My senior male wears doggy diapers. They are a life saver (literally they are saving his life.) It’s not just about the mattress. Washing your sheets everyday or rolling over & grabbing a handful of poop is no bueno.

Morning and welcome, BT! Thanks for the coffee!
It is cloudy with a couple of inches overnight. We are taking off to State today and hopefully will be able to get home at some point in time. I am guessing Mon or Tues depending on the storm totals. DS# has food, h2o, and fuel in the tractor to hold down the homestead.
Have a great weekend, Cafe!

Good morning. Thanks for the coffee, Sour.

I hit the ground running today. Did my normal chores and when I went out to the pen to do the chickens, most of the snow had melted off the fence line. 2 posts snapped and a connection pulled loose at the tractor gate. I shored up the leaning corner posts, replaced snapped insulators and posts, tightened the net and turned the fence back on. This is the longest it's been off. All this work was done to the serenade of many Cardinals in bright sunshine.
The chickens by-passed the breakfast bar and ran out the door.

Fabio giving me some attitude. He still let me reach out and stroke his back.

Look at those spurs! He's going to need a trim but they are curving in such a way that they shouldn't harm the girls if he fumbles.

After taking care of the fence, I cleaned about 2 months worth of dog crap that surfaced after the snow melt. I did not take pictures to share! :D

Her diapers arrive in about a week. No accidents last night. I took her out just before going to bed and scooped her up when she trotted over to the water bowl to try to refill the reservoir.
