BYC Café

It's a little on the strong side. Sorry about that.
No need to be sorry!
<sings>.....that's the way, uhhuh uhhuh, I like it!

My mom and I used to go around about her making the coffee too strong.
She kept a kettle simmering for me to dilute it.
Now I get it tho, and tell her so as I add that 'extra' scoop to the filter.

Have you ever tried to just give the ground coffee right into your mug and pour the boiling water on top?. Let it settle for some time and then add the optional fresh milk to it without stirring.

Preparing the coffee this way, the natural fas remains in the brew which makes it more wholesome. And it tastes better.

The French press system works similar.

Have made a small pot of coffee like that when camping over a wood fire or camp stove.
...and a plethora of other ways.
I make a full pot of half-caff each morning and drink it all day long,
and prefer to leave most the grounds in the reusable filter tho, thanks.
The only thing I'm particular about anymore is using 200-205°F water,
boiling water makes it bitter-er right off the bat.
