I lived alone for 10 years, i did not know that about the detector either. I ended up getting myself a couple cats and my dog, because i never did like it.

Yes they are much more effective alarms, persistent, loud, annoying Unlike the cat it is frowned upon if you shut them in a room with just a bit of food and water

Jeter, the visiting black lab let me sleep until 6 AM today.

She is crated at night as are the pigs er, um pugs since all are ill mannered creatures. Actually, Jeter is a sweetheart. The pugs ---NOT!

I got you beat. Thing 2 was up at 3, gave up and got up at 4... little monster. It is a darn good thing she is cute.
