BYC Café

I passed out on the couch this morning after taking care of the animals. :barnie I've got to log into work at some point and make up the hours I owe.

I also have to vacuum and shampoo the old living room furniture and run an ad for it to get it out of the house for the new furniture I bought to replace it. I'm sick of squeezing through the front door because it's so crowded there. The furniture I bought 4 summers ago is just too big for our small house.

I spent a total of 77 minutes on hold waiting for an IRS representative to answer the phone yesterday. I finally got through and explained we are now past the one year anniversary of me filing my 2019 return and it still hasn't been processed. Nor my 2020 return that I filed on Feb 17 this year.

The government currently owes me just under $4,000. I wonder if I'll also be paid interest as they would have charged ME interest if I didn't pay THEM. And a penalty. They should have to pay that too.

Do I NEED it to make ends meet? No. That's not the point. I don't know of many people who would leave that kind of money on the table and not try to put it in their account. I DID just purchase furniture and I have to finish this house so the money has been trickling away.

The woman I spoke with claimed that she submitted a ticket to get it looked into and processed and if I don't hear from someone within the next 30 days to call back. That's just great. I predict I will be calling every 30 days. This time she DID blame the back log on Covid-19.
We are in the same boat with the 2019 taxes not being processed. We did not get the last two stimulus pay outs.

I've gotten none of them nor the refund I was supposed to get in 2019. And I am one of the people who are actually putting it back into the economy. The furniture was not needed, just wanted and hey, that's just extra funny money for me. And I will use some to hire the guy who helped me with the front of the roof to finish the back of the roof too.

It looks like about 10 million of us are in the same boat!

Covid has finally hit the nearest village. It seems to have gone around very fast. A few dead and lots in quarantine.
That is scary, stay home and don't let anyone come visit!!!

Got sent my first ever 'smart phone' by my elder sister a few days ago. I hate it!
I had a hard time when I got mine 2 years ago. The puny manual didn't even tell how to turn it on. I'm sure it can do WAY more than I know what to do. Nothing is obvious.

Didn't say bye, kiss my patootie or nothing.
At least he didn't give your patootie a big bite with those sharp teeth.

Two months to go to chick month. Dang.
Patience Grasshopper!

Instead, she hugs the electrician that she'd never met for seemingly no reason.
 :th

OK, they CAN NOT blame Covid for failing to process returns that were sent in 2 years ago. I wonder if there is some way to get the stimulus payments later.

You claim them in the next year's return. Of course, they haven't processed that one either, so....
2019 returns are submitted in 2020 so they are using Covid as the excuse.
