I passed out on the couch this morning after taking care of the animals.

I've got to log into work at some point and make up the hours I owe.
I also have to vacuum and shampoo the old living room furniture and run an ad for it to get it out of the house for the new furniture I bought to replace it. I'm sick of squeezing through the front door because it's so crowded there. The furniture I bought 4 summers ago is just too big for our small house.
I spent a total of 77 minutes on hold waiting for an IRS representative to answer the phone yesterday. I finally got through and explained we are now past the one year anniversary of me filing my 2019 return and it still hasn't been processed. Nor my 2020 return that I filed on Feb 17 this year.
The government currently owes me just under $4,000. I wonder if I'll also be paid interest as they would have charged ME interest if I didn't pay THEM. And a penalty. They should have to pay that too.
Do I NEED it to make ends meet? No. That's not the point. I don't know of many people who would leave that kind of money on the table and not try to put it in their account. I DID just purchase furniture and I have to finish this house so the money has been trickling away.
The woman I spoke with claimed that she submitted a ticket to get it looked into and processed and if I don't hear from someone within the next 30 days to call back. That's just great. I predict I will be calling every 30 days. This time she DID blame the back log on Covid-19.
