We leave for home today. I wish I could have stayed another week.

Up early today to enjoy the cool, got some rain sprinkles(what a tease!).

Had some chicken 'drama' last evening.
Went out to lock up, too early.... all the chicks were still out.
Put the broody back on the roost(she hadn't been on nest all day).

Came back out later and one chick was missing, I looked all over both runs for that bird.
She was in the main coop roosted on the nest perch<rollseyes>.
Tomorrow(the one cooler day) the wall comes down.
Put broody back on roost, again.

Was about to go to bed and thought, did I close the pop door(more important now that fatcoon is lurking). I had closed both pop doors, but broody was back on nest. SMH.

No, but I'll complain about being tired ....and hot.

Got the fan mount modded, not too sure how successful it'll be, going to install now.

@aart-you'r a real handy guy! my son can do all the tinkering , SIL is handy too. Hubby has no patience and knows when to hand off a job to someone else.

All installed. Woulda gone faster if driver battery hadn't died.
Think the battery is at the end of it's life, 10yo(I think).
Wish I could buy a replacement battery and/or driver exactly the same,
but it doesn't work like that.

Watching some starlings try to find a nest site under the coop shed eaves, ha!
Can also hear them trying to use the kitchen hood vent.
