BYC Café

Just waiting for the coffee to kick in before I wander across the living room into the office.

Maybe traffic will be lighter if I wait a bit.

sheesh.......rub it in about traffic.........I was way lucky this morning.....very little traffic on the highways at 4 am today.

Good morning - might there be a spare chair at the cafe? I'm no trouble at all, am great on the kitchen line and am a pretty good waitress, so I might come in handy around here.....
howdy Mare......bestest place for waking up, with some coffee in yo cup.

Good Morning...I need coffee and something. Either donuts or a shot...

Started on our taxes yesterday, because they need to be done. I knew we were going to owe something, but YIKES! A bit more than I was expecting. I guess the government needs their pound of flesh.

This is the only white stuff around here.

Anybody heard anything from Scott? He's been AWOL for a bit; hope all is well . . . .

my project from this weekend.

didn't get any progress pics, since once I get going, I never really take time to stop.

let me preface these pics by saying. yes I know it isn't centered on the window. Yes I know it is covering up a part of the window.

the customer insisted on this arrangement. lol

did manage one pic of progress, when I stopped for lunch.

the reason the corrugated metal is not doors, is they hide something.

small chest freezers.

the middle section, has two shelves/drawers. Used full extension stainless bearing, soft close drawer slides.

to do, will be to build the doors, that will cover the shelf section, and built the top. the top will consist of three sections. each end, will have a piano hinge that allows the top to flip up to access the freezers, and the middle section will be fixed. I plan on using cedar planks, 2X6, for all three sections of the top.

here is a little preview, we had some antique doors for another project, and they will serve as the top, until next weekend.

Nice! I did the same thing to my kitchen (cover a part if the window & made it all off center) sometimes you just need to make the customer happy :D It looks really good

yes, the customer had been after me for months to start this project........along with many others in the house.

finally, I had her make a list in her order of completion.......lol. blessing and a curse for us home guys, that can do this type of work.....lol

Morning!
\Nice Bert!
Glad to see the cafe filling up this AM. Howdy Grey!
Coffee and doughnuts...., now you're talking.
morning, Margie.....

don't forget the shot, to warm things up a bit.

actually, a shot is good, for when you are back inside from the cold stuff to warm up, but I wouldn't recommend if you're gonna be heading back out into it.
