I'll wait awhile. I don't want to interrupt anything, and it's only been about 45 minutes.

One of my hens is a "lounger" who can sit for 2 hours. I'm sure she has a good book hidden in there that she's reading.

Ok, I had to go look. No egg in that nest box, but there was one in the other box. I'm pretty sure it was one of the other pullets; she has a distinctive bloom to her eggs, and it's about the time of day she'd be laying.

But Widget (the JO in question) is getting closer...

Thinking 2" of snow is too little to bother with firing up the tractor thrower,

I wouldn't bother either but in the past you have mentioned your driveway is a problem so maybe?

It took 2 hours to shovel the property. Man was it HEAVY! My triceps are sore now. I can't wait to see how bad it will be tomorrow. BUT the driveway is fully clear and black and I won't have to worry about ice forming by driving over the sleet.

I like the exercise.
And I need to get the snow blower back to the mechanic so he can actually fix it this time. In the event I actually need it.

Yep, it's a crap shoot, earlier in the season I wouldn't risk it.
Daytime temps are above freezing for the next week, so.....<shrugs>

I've brought a pot of coffee with me. I won't drink muc. It's late, so help yourselves.
We've had two or three lovely days here. Not exactly warm at 8 and 9 centigrade but plenty of sunshine. Lots of stuff with buds on.
