BYC Café

It's surprisingly resistant to punctures.
It's supposed to be but our area is notorious for puncturing pond liners because of the sharp stones in the soil so I'm being downright anal about making the site as smooth as possible before putting down the underlayment then the liner. Like everything else I'm doing on this house, I don't want to have to go back and do it again when I'm old and teetering around.

Good afternoon Cafe.
Thought for the day?

Another one of these yesterday,
sneaky sharp shooting nailed it.

It was lounging on the filter pit cover, opening the window scared it out of sight.
Closed the window and it raised it's head to peek out, cheekyratstard! So staying low and moving slowly I opened the window just enough to get the gun out, I drew the bead and squuueeezzzed the trigger. Figured I missed so didn't even check until coop lock up time, holeinthehead dead GH! :yesss:

Forgot the shot pic.

Nice shootin' Tex!

So, another thing that has been weighing on my mind (heavily) is the roof. The room is being built this weekend and in order to be ready for the rain forecast to be coming on Tuesday, the roof needs to be back on by Monday. I was supposed to pick DH up in Dillsburg that day. It's a 6.5 hour drive round trip. That kills any chance of roofing that day so I asked Junior early yesterday if he could keep his father one more day and we could meet Tuesday.
He finally decided to answer me just now and said he can't because he has lots of meetings Tuesday. I told him that the roof is more important than a visit and that if one of his siblings can't get him, the visit will be canceled. Haven't heard back yet.
They never ever take into consideration my needs in every interaction I've had with them and I'm tired of bending over backwards for them.
Yeah, i got really tired of the contractor we had. I begged hubby not to use him for the bathroom remodel. Guess what? He was slow and did a crappy job. Never did finish, but hubby paid him anyway. I was so mad! Still pissed about it.

When i made the pond in FL, i put used carpet under the liner. Never had an issue with leakage under the pond.
