Good morning Cafe. Started the morning at 65 today felt real nice good way to wake up .. Second cup here

DH and I had a nice trip home.
We stopped at a little antique mall and I found this.

We got ice cream at a Mom and Pop gas station where I filled up for $0.24 less per gallon than locally. I averaged 50.4 mpg on the trip.
Stopped at a garden center that we'd been to years ago that I knew had water gardens and found these adorable Japanese sedges! They'll only get 9-12" max and will look wonderful in the pond landscaping.

I saw a small cattail and some clumps of sweet flag that had been removed from a pond and were just leaning up against some potted plants so asked about them. I was told they were thinned out of a pond and were going to be thrown away. I said I'd be happy to save them and they gave them to me!
Joe got all the common rafters up except for the pair that needs to be cut down and installed right up next to the house.

Now I'm shifting gears and am going to make some cold cucumber soup with fresh herbs we picked up and a loaf of Paleo zucchini bread to go with the marinated pork shoulder I'm grilling for dinner with some fresh corn on the cob!

Another GH is living under the decking near the pondsai.
Didn't see it but a glimpse diving into a hole as I went out to check the coop this afternoon.
GRRRRR!

Those plants look like Polish topknots!

I am trying to paint my bathroom. Should have washed the floor first. Anyway, starting with Kilz because the walls are dark orange. Yuck for a bathroom without a window.
