BYC Café

They say we are going to have rain and T-storms tomorrow. I hope they're right. Monday we got enough rain to rearrange the dust on my car. We really could use a soaker.

I also need a reason to stay inside tomorrow and get house work done. DH has been cleaning up the bedroom. He started by putting in a nice, bright LED light in his closet. And then some shelves. I asked him to do the same on mine, and oh, wow, what a difference! Another plus is all the clothes that went to Goodwill. There is room in the closet for clothes to hang neatly now.

I really need a reason not to wield a hoe, pitchfork, shovel, or trowel for a day. Rain would be a good reason...

Good evening Cafe.
Hosepipe bans here. It's not even hot.
Been busy building a hooped run. First time I've made such a thing and not in the best of circumstances either.
Thought for the day.

There's no more dramatic a change that good lighting in a closet or pantry. Good for you!
There is just one liiiiitle problem. If I go to bed first and fall asleep, he turns on the closet light to see his way around. Dim little 60 watt bulb inside the closet is just enough light.

Now it's more like an airport runway! :lau

We have solved that problem for Monday through Friday, at least. We watch an old episode of The X-Files, then go to bed at the same time. :) Saturday and Sunday, well, we'll figure it out.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I've been up since 3:00. But I also passed out at 9:00. Still...
Got up in the middle of the night and started putting away dishes and cooked a frittata. Then went out at 4:15 and started farting around trying to determine where we need to cut the rafter tails so the 3/4" roof deck of the addition meets in the same plane in the valley with the 1/2" roof deck of the house. Well, THAT got the boys in a tizzy and they really started crowing out there. So I went back in but just closed the screen door so I could listen to them with a hot compress on my eyes. My dry eyes are starting to really bother me again so now I want to find a specialist to try to get some permanent relief. Always something...

Yes, with GH's and broodies!
For the broodies try chasing them around wearing long orange welders gloves. Astrid broke in one afternoon when my nephew was trying to catch her and put her in the crate.

Good morning, Cafe, and thanks for the coffee.

But then you would feel compelled to straighten things out. I have no idea whatall is in my closet.
