BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe', coffee is ready. Not a good night. Maggie had major seizures at 10 and 10:45 PM. She then paced the house bumping into things and stopping to stare at something 'unseen'. This morning something is still off. She ate and went outside, but is standing and staring at me. She wants something, but I'm not sure what it is.

Thanks, DL. Just spoke to the vet. He's going to check dosage levels and blood level results to see if we can increase meds and possibly add another drug. He mentioned something about taking her for an MRI to which I replied, "Which will tell us if a tumor is causing the seizures, and if so we will euthanize her after spending $5,000 or so?" He agreed and said, "You know that if we can not increase her meds and control this we are entering a bad place?" I replied that I understood.

Since her first seizure on 3/28, she has had 23 seizures that we know of with the possibility of others that we have not witnessed. They are escalating with 10 of them occurring in the past 5 weeks. :(
I am very sorry you and your Princess have to go through this with your beloved Maggie Mae.

Have you been able to pin it to something happening the same day? Maybe tbe excitenent at the groomer?
Or is it perhaps triggered by hirmonal changes like her (upcoming) heat?
Have you had her checked for allergies?
