BYC Café

My only rooster is Smudge a very large marans.
Any I hatch are barnyard mixes.
Odd part I have 3 birds are not sleeping in the coop all of a sudden.

I decided to "take the day off" to give my back a chance to heal. And I'm not looking forward to having attic insulation fall in my face.
Instead, I did the dogs nails, cooked a frittata, got a recipe ready to cook in the crock pot tomorrow, make a 15# batch of puppy food, brewed a gallon of ginger tea, cleaned the kitchen and caught Kenzie and put her up in the maternity ward. I think she has sour crop. Every time she puts her head down, liquid comes out her beak. At first it was clear but then it turned brown. No smell but really squishy, full crop. Thankfully she readily takes the miconazole suppository segment and eats it. I hope I can help her. She seems to take the confinement in the ward very well.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! We had a great visit with DS$!
Academic All-American award, met the new GF and went bowling and out for sashimi. I think he has adjusted to college life... LOL!
Now to get ready for another round of snow coming in.
Cap, I hope you hand feels better soon!
DL, you can always head this way when your house is done, seriously!
You would be in HEAVEN here with the renovations that need to happen.
:lau :hugs
What's the new girlfriend like? I know mothers have opinions on such matters.:p

I helped the couple yesterday with the buckets of compost. I should not have done that. My back has taken a step back. I can still walk fully upright so it's not as bad as it was when I first pulled the muscle.
I've been using the massager about twice a day on it. I decided to use it on Bella, just to see what she'd do because she was not terrified of it like Piper. She LOVES it!! She was pushing her neck and shoulders into it when I was applying it in those areas. When I took it out and started working on my back this morning, she got up and came over and put her head in my lap to wait her turn!
NOW Piper isn't so terrified of it. I bumped her fanny with it twice and she hopped back but didn't act terrified.
Have you tried this? I found it very helpfull. Half inch mat is what I found worked best.
