Good Morning from the land of coffee (shops) We are still waiting for the temps to get above 60, I have a bunch of veggie starts that want to go outside.

Frost last night. Freeze warning tonight. Covered the pots in the green house with totes again. That worked really well last night, and everything came through just fine. Then mid-40s for a few nights, and then back into the low 30s. So I'm betting we still are not done with snow.

Mine have just the one rooster Smudge he is full blue marans.
Hens a couple that are marans most others are EE ..

Have you tried this? I found it very helpfull. Half inch mat is what I found worked best.

No, but I did have chickens and you have internal doors which I didn't.

Kenzie was a little better tonight.
The crop was much less squishy this morning but she was still spitting up water if she bend down. I gave her some scrambled egg and sardine and she did eat most of it. Not sure how much water she took in.
When I went out to give her the second dose of miconazole, she ate it from my hand but refused to eat much of the next batch of scrambled eggs.
She's getting pissed at me.
I popped some of the egg down her throat and went back out at dusk and placed her on the roost for the night. As long as I get out there before they come off in the morning I can dose her again and put her back in the ward.

You have insomnia or something?

I gave it a try after getting Piper off me. I can't do it yet. My lower back is just too sore. It feels like I'm getting kicked in the spine by a mule when I sneeze. I need to take it easy longer to let the muscle heal. But it did feel good to sit in in a tight ball while hugging my knees to my chest to stretch my back out.
