By the time I left at 10:30 it had been 15 hours since they'd sedated him and he was still out.

After talking with the nurse this morning, I discovered that they had given him another sedative last night because he started coming around and being combative again. And he is STILL in the ER!!!

I am going to run the dogs and then go. I was told that his vitals were good from the nurse but I can't get any information from doctors, he is unresponsive and doesn't know I'm there so I may as well do something good for me and the dogs. And eat some real food before I leave.

Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee DL! When it rains it pours - sorry for all the stressful events that have been happening this past week for you.

It's sunny here and blowing hard - Les Suêtes are at it again. Got the herb and strawberry gardens weeded for the first time this spring. All the perennials are starting to poke out. I think it will hit 20 degrees Celsius today and then we're suppose to get rain late afternoon. Much needed!

The tulips are just starting to show colour. Daffodils are at their peak. I have so much to do in the garden and so little time!

Does he have a DNR in place? I know it's not an easy road. But you don't want them going to drastic measures, cracking ribs etc trying to resuscitate, right?

Always. I am trying to get my flower garden fenced to keep rabbits and deer out.

It's been signed for the admission to the Hearth and it should be in his files at this facility. I'll have to sign a new one to make sure. He's also a DNI.

My brother had both, but the medical facility where he had the thrombosis(pulmonary and cardiac) didn't know until after his ribs had been cracked(with 3 resuscitations) and he had been intubated. I've thought about having it tattooed across the front of my neck.

It haunts me to this day that they didn’t let my 96 year old Dad die peacefully in his bed.
@DobieLover I am so sorry you are going through all this. No words really, just I know it is very hard.
