BYC Café

the computer was 'corrupted'
It no doubt got corrupted from would be hackers tossing malware out on the internet.

My Visa was hacked 2 days ago. I got a call from my bank asking to confirm some recent on-line purchases. The first was for over $3,400 and the second for over $1,000. I was super pissed. Card shut down and now I have to wait over another week for my replacement card to arrive in the mail.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready. AQI is currently 156.

I pulled broody number 5 of the season off the nest last night for the second day in a row. She's a first timer. Kylie, my Cuckoo Marans. She's 4. I want to let her set but Astrid still takes her kids back to the ward. I think I'll lock it up to force her to use the coop to nest with her chicks.
Digit is now as big as his hatch mother and I put them on the roost at night. I think he is going to grow up to be a very handsome guy.
I'll ping the girl who took Matrix and get some hatching eggs from her. This is Matrix all grown up. He is one of the son's of Captain, my black Ameraucana rooster that I sold after he and Fabio would not stop fighting.

AQI down to 71 this morning.
Been watching the smoke map and AQI, funny that tho the smoke map stays about the same the AQI goes up and down. Must be the altitude of the smoke, which isn't noted on map?

Finally got house cooled down with whole house fan, temps last night in the mid 60's.
Woke from dreaming of getting caught in a snowstorm while wearing my sleeveless sleep shirt :gig had to pull up some covers.

Highish humidity makes the cool feel colder and will no doubt make the mid 80's later feel hotter. Rain and 70's all day tomorrow :yesss:
The relief of lower temps is intense for me.

Let both broodies out late afternoon yesterday, it was hot in coop and it had been 48 hours.
Found an egg under one crate SMH, both back in nest then crate at lock up.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! We got some very nice rain yesterday and now my car is clean. I am cutting down some trees for a friend that wants to put in a ground based solar array. All but one are sickly and should be cut anyway, but the healthy one is a bummer to take down.
Lunch with SIL went well and my airline ticket for the fall is purchased. I really hope things are smoother with the whole travel scene then!
I still have too many chickens and eggs. Lots of clucking going on but no broodies that I can see. It has been a wild spring for sure!
I am off to sniff my lilac...
