Bella hates it.
Skittles isn't thunder shy either.

Bella seems to have only just now realized that there are creatures living in the pond. She has become obsessed with them.

Looks as if she is prepating to 'go fishing'.

All of our goldens hated thunder/fireworks. They just pissed Maggie off, but she was special.

Several months ago our daughter had her last pug euthanized. SIL said, "NO more dogs." Got a text this morning that she is on a breeder list for a puppy in late Nov. The girl is a bulldog just like her mother. SMH.

Hope she doesn't jump in there....dog nails can be death to pond liners!

Been wondering how the pond is doing, it looks fabulous!
Thanks. It's going through another minor algae bloom. For as many toad eggs as I removed there are lots of tadpoles eating the algae. I bought all the components for making a water polisher except the stones. I'll get another bucket from the local quarry when I get the time then make the polisher and drop it in. It should really help the water get crystal clear.

I'm excited for the lotus to really get going. It's so tiny now and I don't want to disturb it. It has three floating leaves. It has yet to send up an aerial leaf so I haven't fed it yet.

The lilies are also doing well. The leaves are getting bigger and more abundant weekly. I haven't seen any signs of flowers coming up yet. But everything is young and I realize it takes time so I am just enjoying watching the development.

I never leave the dogs out unattended except when I let them out first thing in the morning to potty while I prep their breakfast. I'll have to start monitoring that outing as well due to Bella's recent fixation on the fish. I am regularly correcting her for getting too close to the edge.

Hand stripping terriers gave me carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand.
Yes, my fingers and wrist complain also and I have to divide the stripping of one into various sessions.
They will be our last Airedales as it is becoming way too exhausting to keep their coat in good shape.

But we love them dearly and hope to spend many more years with them. :love

Good afternoon! I've been MIA with my birthday on Friday and then setting up our pilot whale field season for the summer. Happy to see the garden growing well. I did finally get a few ranunculus to bloom - they don’t take well to our climate that goes from freezing cold to boiling right away.
