BYC Café

Good afternoon Cafe! I brought more coffee along. Had a cafe open just down the road and they make some pretty great lemon poppyseed loaf!

The peonies are in bloom and the garden is growing well (unfortunately so too are the weeds 😅).

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee.

It's hot and sticky out. Supposed to rain later. I got the dogs out for about an hour and now I need to get chicken feed and finish tiling the shower stall. Yesterday was a total bust work wise. I just didn't have it in me.
Sometimes you just need to rest.

Belated birthday! Nice flower.

I had an eventful morning today… woke up at 3am to get ready to make my way back to Halifax. DH leaded at 3:30am for work (45 minute drive through the national park). Half an hour later I get a call. There was a small rock slide over night and he popped two tires as you couldn’t see it until you were on it. Luckily it’s just the tires. The car right in front of him went airborne and took the oil pan off the bottom of the engine… it was because he saw what was happening in front of him that he was able to slow down enough to avoid more damage. They cleared the road of rocks and I was able to bring him what he needed to get the car back on the road. Not fun. Anyways, I’m just thankful no one got hurt.

Wow. How scary! I'm glad he was okay and the car wasn't too badly damaged.
