BYC Café

It's really hard to see it in this picture but the bottom sash is fully covered with the privacy film and then for the top sash, I cut out along the edges of the flowers and leaves to try to give it a little bit of a different look. It's very pretty in person! It'll look even better once I get the walls painted!
That is the orchid that I bought for my mom after we reconciled when she was in the hospital. I've read that orchids can last for decades if you take good care of them. I would like to have this orchid for as long as I live to remember her by.

I have several orchids that have rebloomed, and one that is growing a pup. Love these plants. Sadly, i always kill Cattleyas.

My future housemate has arrived in NY. He will be staying at my sister's house until I can get his room done. That entails getting my bathroom to the point where I can install the toilet and the drawers and doors on my cabinets. All of this stuff is in his room. Then I have to finish his room! But I'm getting there.

I hooked up the water lines to the manifold today and turned them on. No leaks. I also FINALLY installed the hose bib on an unobstructed corner of the house nearest the coop. That's awfully nice to have.

We had a BBQ at my sister's house because his parents wanted to meet everyone and see where there son will be living for the next 2 - 2.5 years. Tomorrow they will come over to see my house so I'm going to spend some time in the morning cleaning it up. I don't clean when I build. I've been building for a while!

I took Piper with me to the BBQ and my niece and I played badminton with my nephew and his girlfriend while Piper ran around the backyard digging in the trench, chasing us and stealing the birdie every chance she could. She pooped out next to me right now.

Huh!?
Obviously I've missed, or forgotten, something again.
My niece's boyfriend is moving into my spare room so he can attend college in NY. He wants to start at our community college then transfer to RIT after he gets his Associates degree.
