I'm jealous. I've seen only one moose in my life in the wild - driving in the UP of Michigan. (I was driving, not the moose - ha). I've heard they can be quite angry sometimes. They really are a lot bigger than one would think. The drive-thru carwash image made me chuckle, thanks Margie.

I am an Army brat, but I serve in the Navy. I am stationed in Southern California right now and I love it here.

Nice to meet you and thank you for starting this thread! I was an Army wife for many years and CA was by far our favorite spot...days like today (-20 windchill) really make me miss it. Someday I might like to move back.

shoot, here in SoCal I'm sweating.

On the bovine, I'd love to have a beef cow one day, but unfortunately I know nothing about it. Dairy goats and meat sheep for me. Of course that's all book knowledge too.

Man, we have got some very interesting people and conversation going on. Even cross-cultural interchange. That's it, on payday I'm going to have to try some vegemite. But where to find it??

You know, I lived in New Hampshire for about 10 years, and have never seen a dang moose. We have moose on our license plates! One day, just before leaving for the Navy, I was outback having a smoke (quit now though). I heard a commotion on the street but was too lazy to check it out. Found out later a moose was walking down town a a police car was trying to escort it back to the wild. Still: Never seen a moose

Vegemite, malt, tea, milo - bah humbug!  Drink more coffee. 

Can't argue with someone who loves coffee as much as me. Still, I'll check it out. Just don't take my coffee away!

Pretty sure Amazon would have it..... maybe we should all order a small jar and have a vegemite tasting with our coffee, you know instead of wine and cheese....

Oh my, do they ever have it! That and Milo, Tim Tams and lots of other stuff.
So Krista, do you prefer Vegemite or Marmite? I read up on the history of Vegemite- pretty interesting!
